A Bit About Me
Dear music enthusiasts,
Having been a proud student of Brentwood Union School District and former member of the Edna Hill Middle School, Bristow Middle School, and Liberty High School choir and band music programs, I am thrilled to bring my passion for music education back to the community that fostered my own musical journey. With a rich background in both choral and band programs I intimately understand BUSD's values, curriculum, and culture, positioning me as an ideal candidate to embark on this musical endeavor.
With over a decade of teaching music in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, I've cultivated a deep-seated commitment to nurturing students' musical talents and igniting their creative spark. My teaching ethos revolves around fostering an interactive, engaging, and student-centered environment, empowering students to explore the vast world of music while realizing their full potential. Notably, my tenure witnessed remarkable growth, with choral programs doubling and even tripling in size within just a few years, a testament to my ability to inspire and motivate students.
At C. E. King High School, I honed my craft in designing and executing comprehensive lesson plans that adhere to state and district standards. I've also orchestrated numerous music performances, from concerts to state contests, consistently earning accolades for the artistry and brilliance of my choirs. Notably, our consistent superior ratings at the Texas Interscholastic League Concert & Sight Reading Contest underscore my dedication to excellence in music education. My students consistently receive superior ratings at both local and State Solo and Ensemble contests.
In my current position as a Teacher of Elementary Music & Band with Brentwood Union School District, I oversee 3 band programs and teach general music to 4th & 5th grade students across 3 campuses. I provide my students with a systematic and structured approach to music education, emphasizing musical literacy as the foundation for musical success.

A Bit About Me
Greetings! My name is Kait Allen and my passion for music has been unwavering since I was a child. Growing up in Brentwood California, I started singing in choir in middle school. I continued on and fully immersed myself in the Liberty High School choir program, becoming a member of all choirs, quartets, a cappella groups, and the Vice President of choir council. This choir program propelled my love and interest for music and teaching. After graduating from Liberty, I continued on my journey of music in Houston,
Texas where I attended Lone Star College and earned my degree in music. At Lone Star I became proficient in advanced sight singing, ear training, music theory, piano, and performance. With my voice as my instrument, I performed in many classical recitals, choir performances, and was given opportunities to sing backup vocals for musicians on tour such as Hugh Jackman and Josh Groban.
I have since moved back to my home town and started teaching music lessons. Teaching music and sharing what it can be with others is my true passion and purpose. I have always loved performing and making connections between myself, the music and the audience. There is something truly beautiful and magical about playing an instrument and sharing it with others. Music is not for one age, gender, or race, it transcends all walks of life and allows for a beautiful connection between us all. I wish to inspire my students to never give up on their dreams but to push through fearlessly and unapologetically. Music is about having fun, making mistakes and learning about yourself along the journey. I provide a safe environment for my students to not fear their musical abilities, but to grow in curiosity of them.

A Bit About Me
Hello drummers and percussionists! My name is Kaemen Saenz, and I'm excited to be offering lessons to the community. My musical journey began at a young age, and since then, I have honed my skills through formal training, live performances, and studio recordings. I have extensive experience performing with jazz ensembles and collaborating with local musicians, which has enriched my understanding of various musical styles and techniques. Even as I pursue a bachelor's degree in business, I remain actively involved in the music community, balancing academic pursuits with rehearsals, gigs, and teaching engagements. This dual focus has equipped me with not only a solid foundation in music theory and performance but also valuable organizational and communication skills that enhance my teaching approach.
As an instructor, I believe in creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves creatively while building a strong foundation in music theory and performance. Whether it's mastering intricate rhythms, exploring various genres, ear training, or developing solid technique, I am committed to guiding my students through their musical endeavors with patience, encouragement, and enthusiasm.
